What will be the socio-economic impact of your forecasts in the oil sector?

The employment of persons in the oil and gas industry will be probably higher than in 2020. However, providers are generally automating more of their services in order to operate remotely.

How do you intend to achieve the 12% objective for oil wells and the 10% in the offshore sector this year?

For onshore drilling, the main part of the growth for 2021 in terms of new wells will come from Asia. The offshore segment is pulled more by South East Asia fr deep water and South America for shallow water drilling.

What are the opportunities this growth offers for Africa countries in particular?

The drilling of new oil and gas wells should have a flatter trend during the next three to five years for both off shore and onshore activities in Africa. However, there exist a great number of older producing wells in West Africa, which could provide good intervention work in the years to come. In addition, we have observed an increased interest in East Africa for drills related to geothermal projects, which could serve thus as a junction for future growth in this Region.
